MLM

Multi level Marketing (MLM) has become quite popular. However, there is a new trend to use the "Bible" or "Christianity" to falsely promote it.  Some may be ok, but be careful on deciding on a product claiming that somehow it is endorsed by "God".

Lie #5: MLM is a spiritual movement.

Truth: The use of spiritual concepts like prosperity consciousness and creative visualization to promote MLM enrolment, the use of words like 'communion' to describe a sales organization, and claims that MLM is a fulfilment of Christian principles or Scriptural prophecies are great distortions of these spiritual practices. Those who focus their hopes and dreams upon wealth as the answer to their prayers lose sight of genuine spirituality as taught by all the great religions and faiths of humankind. The misuse of these spiritual principles should be a signal that the investment opportunity is deceptive. When a product is wrapped in the flag or in religion, buyer beware! The 'community' and 'support' offered by MLM organizations to new recruits are based entirely upon their purchases. If the purchases and enrolment decline, so does the 'communion.'" - For more see http://www.mlmwatch.org/01General/10lies.html

“You must not misuse the name of the Lord your God. The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse his name.” -  Exodus 20:7
